They say history is written by the victors, and in poor old Richard III’s case, that is certainly true. His victor was the first Tudor King, Henry VII and the Tudors had a great propaganda machine in the form of William Shakespeare, who took patronage from Henry’s granddaughter, Queen Elizabeth I.
